Many companies rely on the data they collect to make crucial decisions. The amount of data generated is such that it is generally referred to as Big Data. To manage this data, companies need qualified personnel and in particular Data Analyst, Data Scientist and Data Engineer.

In my previous articles I have talked about these three jobs while trying to compare them briefly so as not to overload the content.

The objective of this article is to focus on a few key concepts/jobs involved in the data domain and to show how they fit together to achieve the current state of the art, especially in the context of data processing approaches.

My ambition here is simply to define, contextualise and show the intuition and position of these concepts in relation to each other.

  • Data Engineer: the builder, guarantor of the data production chain
  • Data Scientist: the statistician, programmer of algorithmic models
  • Data Analyst: the interpreter, creator of value for the company through data

Through this article I will discuss their Missions, Competences, Differences and Synergies.

As such, there has never been a better time to start a career in data, and the demand for data professionals such as Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers is growing rapidly. But…
